Chapter One


Fate walked into her apartment after along day at school, Fate closed the door behind her ‘I am tired.’ She thought as she took off her shoes “I am home.” She called out.

Nanoha’s brown cat ear moved as soon as Nanoha heard Fate’s voice, Nanoha came out the bathroom at end of the hall, Nanoha’s face blushed lightly.

Fate smiled as soon as she saw Nanoha “I’m home Nanoha.” She said.

“Umm, welcome back.”

“Were you scared all by yourself?”

Nanoha looked down, her eyes closed; Fate looked at her “yes.” Nanoha answered “umm, I’ve already prepared your bath.” She added.

Fate put her bag down and hugged Nanoha in lovely way “I’m proud of you Nanoha!” she said.

Nanoha put a hand on Fate’s arm “thank you, I love you! so much!” Fate said as she laid her head on Nanoha’s hair, she rubbed her cheek lightly on Nanoha’s hair “so are so cute!!” she added.

“Hyaa!”

Fate lift her head and looked at Nanoha, she smiled at her, Fate’s hand rested on Nanoha’s back, she hugged Nanoha “well then lets enter the bath together.” Fate said happily.

Nanoha looked at Fate, her hand moved to rest on Fate’s upper arm “EH? No.” she said.

“you say No… yet you know you can’t wash your hair by yourself.”

“uu.”

Fate went to her bedroom followed by Nanoha, Fate took off her neck tie put it on her bed “well then lets go in.” Fate said happily as she took off her uniform jacket.

“Ah yes.” Nanoha agreed as she looked at Fate who put her jacket on bed.

“Yoish.” Fate scooped Nanoha on her arms, Nanoha’s eyes widen in surprise “Hya?”

Fate walked out the bedroom carrying Nanoha in her arms, Fate hammed a melody “Fe!? Fa..Fa...Fa… Fate-san.” Nanoha stuttered as she tried to get off Fate’s arms “put me down.” She said.

“AA.. don’t worry, don’t worry, Nanoha is light.”

“Th… That’s not the problem.”

Fate kept walking “Oh and I’d like you to stop with the “San.” It makes Fate-san sad.” She said.

“D…Don’t change the subject.” Nanoha said as two sweat drops appear behind her head.

Fate brought her face next to Nanoha’s side face, Nanoha closed one eye, her arms wrapped around Fate’s neck “until Nanoha can bath by herself, washing Nanoha is my job.”  Fate smiled, her eyes closed.

Nanoha hided herself against Fate’s “uu… that is…I’m sorry.” Nanoha mumbled against Fate’s shirt.

Fate looked confuse, she looked at Nanoha “what? Eh? why are you apologizing?
She said “Nanoha?” she asked as a sweat drop appeared behind her head.

Fate’s eyes bow raised “uu.” Nanoha sobbed.

Fate put Nanoha down on floor, she knelt in front of Nanoha, Fate e put her hand on Nanoha’s shoulder, and she comforted Neko Nanoha.

“I…I’m sorry Nanoha. I won’t do it anymore if you don’t like it.” Fate said as she looked at Nanoha.

“N, No I.” Nanoha cried, she wiped her tears but her tears kept falling.

“Eh? Eh? Nanoha.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Eh?”

“I’m sorry.


Neko Nanoha’s POV ….

For A moment, I thought of the time when Fate-san picked me up.

Flash back

The rain fell in street, Fate walked under the rain, she stopped when she saw me standing under the rain, my cloths soaked wet from the rain, Fate walked to me, she stopped few steps away from me.

“Ne what are you doing here at place like this?” Fate asked

If i couldn’t do anything…

“Come with me?” Fate held her hand out

I would become a burden to Fate-san. When I thought about it like that.

I cried, Fate was sitting on floor, her hand touched my cheek “N-Nanoha.” She called my name.

‘even trough I knew I shouldn’t trouble Fate-san… why won’t the tears stop.’ I thought.


End of Neko Nanoha’s POV….


“I’m… sorry…! I’m… sorry…!” Nanoha sobbed.

Fate pulled Nanoha in tight hug, Nanoha opened her eyes in surprise when she felt Fate hugged her.

Fate closed her eyes, her chin rest on top of Nanoha’s head “Nanoha.”  She called as she hugged Nanoha to her chest “I don’t know why Nanoha is crying but…” she said “But when Nanoha cries, Fate-san also become sad.” Fate added.

Nanoha rested her head against Fate’s chest, her tears fells “Fate-san?” she whispered she then lifted her head and looked Fate.

Fate smiled warmly at Nanoha “there is no need to be afraid, I’m sorry to have left you alone, must have made you feel insecure.” She said.

“It’s all right Nanoha.” Fate said, there fingers lanced together “I will always be with you Nanoha.” She added.

“By your side always.”

The warmth of the hand, compared with the day when we first met, is much, much warmer.

“uu.” Nanoha cried against Fate “uwaan.”

“Oh yosh yosh sure Nanoha sure is a crying baby.”

Though the tears have yet to stop, it was all because of the warmth of Fate-san provided.


Fate done her best to clam down Nanoha, after a while….

‘I promised I won’t leave her alone… but I have school tomorrow! What I am doing to do about Nanoha!!’ Fate thought as she looked down at Nanoha who slept and snored lightly.

‘And we ended up not going into the bath together.’ Fate thought as she shook her head, Fate carried the sleeping Nanoha to the bedroom; she laid her down and covered her with blanket. Fate-chan went to the bathroom and took shower after she done, she dressed in black T-shirt and dark shorts, Fate sat down and did her home works.

Fate studied after she done, she put her thing back inside her bag, she put it a side and Fate sat and watched TV.

Fate looked at her watch ‘it’s about time, better go and make dinner.’ She thought as she switched the TV off.

Fate cooked dinner when she heard it “Fate-chan.” Nanoha called out, Fate could help but smile when she heard Nanoha calling her Fate-chan instead of Fate-san.

Fate turned around and she looked at Nanoha who rubbed her eyes “you are awake, Nanoha.” she smiled.

Nanoha smiled and nodded, Fate looked at cooks “dinner is ready.” She said, she then looked at Nanoha “will you help me set up the table?” she asked.

“Hai.” Nanoha beamed.

Fate and Nanoha together stetted up the table, they sat down and began to eat, after dinner, and Fate was doing dishes while Nanoha watched TV, after she done, she joined Nanoha at the living room.

Nanoha fell sleep, she leaned against Fate, Fate felt Nanoha leaned on her heavily, she smiled when she saw her fell sleep, Fate switched the TV off, she made sure the door locked, she switch the lights off.

Fate carried Nanoha to the bedroom; Nanoha woke up “come brush you teeth and I will help you to change to your pajama.” Fate said.

Nanoha nodded her head; she did what Fate told her, Fate helped Nanoha into her pajama, Fate laid Nanoha on bed and covered her, Fate kissed Nanoha’s forehead, Fate then got ready for bed.

Fate walked into the bedroom, she saw Nanoha woke up “why you are not sleep?” she asked.

“I was, when I woke up you weren’t here, I got scared.” Nanoha said as she hided herself behind the covered.

Fate sat at edge of the bed, she then took Nanoha in her arms, she hugged Nanoha close, Nanoha rested her head against Fate’s chest, Fate stroked Nanoha’s hair “its ok Nanoha, I’m here.” She said as she smiled.

Fate got in bed with Nanoha in her arms, she pulled the covers on both of them, she switched the lamp light off, and Fate ran her hand through Nanoha’s brown hair “good night Nanoha and sweet dreams.” She said.

“good night Fate-chan.” Nanoha yawned as she fell sleep.

Fate smiled and kissed Nanoha’s head before she went to sleep herself.
